2011 SFSC Sharker of the Month

Most of Mark's fishing skills have rubbed off from me. j/k j/k
Congrats Mark, I always have a good time fishing with you.
The kid knows every fishing knot in the book and some of his own knot creations.
And thats just knots. From placing the hook into the bait to setting it in the Fish/Shark
Mark knows it all.

Every time I read one of John's posts I am more amazed , he is definitely a fine fisherman and maybe has a little luck , but I always like reading his reports, I've only fished with Luis a couple of times, but he is a cool guy, he witnessed when the monster of all monsters picked up my 12/0 one night..., as for me? you guys are all too kind, wasn't expecting to be a sharker of the month considering I haven't been able to land a toothy critter over 5ft in months, but I have been guiding others to their nice catches, I try to learn stuff from everybody I fish with and make it all work in combination.

I didnt know hammer very well but when he caught that sailfish in front of me i figurd out that he is a real legend and like Will said jimmy dean is following his dad's steps.i had the pleasure once of fish with hammer and jimmy at lakeworth pier and both of they all are exelent friends and cool people.........hammer took my bait in the kayak out once and i hope i can pay that favor back to him.....congratulation "PARTNER" and "JIMMY"

Will thank you so much for the kind words!! i try my best to give every kid possib the greatest experience and thrill of there lives. kids deserve to have worry free wholesome fun. all kids,black ,white,spanish you name it, they all deserve to enjoy there childhood before life takes that turn towards work and major obligations!!!! just recently my god son De De was the lucky one to see reymundos big Hammer!!! No, what I meant was things are quite the opposite..you should see some of the mishaps and bloopers that usually occur when I hit the beach If I didn't have such bad luck I wouldn't have any luck at all hahaha

DECEMBER 2011 SHARKER OF THE MONTH

Exactly one year ago, Joe and I got a call from will and Shannon telling us, tonight is the last night before the end of the year party we got to try to catch the Christmas hammer. So we went and Joe was the lucky man catching the biggest hammer of his life.

This year I and Joe planed a sneak attack. for the past 3 weeks we been waiting for the winds to die out, we were at the point that we were going to call in sick from work no matter what day just so we can get one last night with perfect weather.
I get a call from Joe Friday telling me that the winds are dying down tonight. We get everything ready and call Shannon to ask him for his kayak, he ask me where are you going? I said sneak attack king Kong beach!!!!!!!! He gets all hyped and tells me we out lets get em!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We get there around 6pm and take out our baits. Around 1 am Shannon is telling us stories about Rene de dios crazy fishing adventures while he is talking im looking at my rod then I see it bending I wasn’t sure if my mind was playing tricks on me then I here it MUNDY YOUR ROD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I grab the rod hit the running man he takes off for 2 seconds then my line go’s slack I get pissed and Shannon is screaming reel fast it’s a hammer he is rushing toward the beach!!!!!!!!! So I reel in for about 20 seconds then I feel the power…

before I know it he is pulling drag and he is swimming straight north “like jd hammer said all big sharks swim north”
